{An English Christmas}

I spent Christmas with my cousins in Essex. It was lovely--full of tradition, fresh air, country walks (short walks for me), fetching turkeys from local farms, a Boxing Day meet etc... It was simply LOVELY.

My boxes arrived this week, and it really does feel like Christmas being acquainted with all my things again:

I spent last night in Covent Garden--I couldn't resist taking a picture everywhere I looked. It was simply stunning:

{mulled wine season}

ahhh...I do love this time of year! Mulled wine, Christmas lights, cozy fireplaces...
Last night I had a couple of girlfriends over for mulled wine & mince tarts. Great excuse to catch up & indulge;) For some interesting historical mulled wine recipes & one you can do today see this article in the guardian (the ginger wine definitely added a little je ne sais quoi)
