It has been rather wet & chilly in the past few weeks... & to be completely honest, I feel I was a little cheated of summer. It was finally getting warm in upstate New York when I left for Vancouver at the end of May. June in Vancouver was chilly-ish & a little grey...then I spent 2 glorious sunny weeks in Italy, only to find myself back in rain & grey skies in London (surprise, surprise). Then Vermont has been dealing with Irene & other tropical storms this late summer/early autumn season...but today it's sunny & warm & I'm feeling inspired by the sun.
When it's sunny I want to go for a stroll in a lovely garden:
