Time seems to be flying. I never blogged about my fantastic trip to the annual Art History conference, CAA in February. We had a great few days--our session was really well attended, I got to see old colleagues & friends, and enjoyed one afternoon on the town. We also had an excellent lunch after our panel at
Bar Americain, a Bobby Flay restaurant.
I got a super good deal at the
Hotel Mela and since the conference was near Times Square, it made sense to stay close by.
Walked along fifth avenue & through Central Park to get to the Met...

This little gem we found was sooooooooooo good & just what we needed after a long conference.
Balaboosta is just so cute, even the menu is adorable:
Following our decadent lunch, we wandered through Chinatown where they were having a Chinese New Year parade...and then we stumbled upon this lovely bakery in the west village,
Pasticceria Rocco with a mind-boggling menu & choices of sweets:
That night we met with former professors/supervisors for prosecco at the
Met balcony bar, where a live band was playing. it was divine!
Cheerio for now,
